Andorra shines once again in the world of alpine skiing. From 27 February to 1 March 2026, the mountains of Grandvalira-Soldeu will welcome the best skiers on the planet. At Daguisa Hotels, we are proud to announce that we are the official partner hotel for this historic event with our 4* Hotel Font d'Argent Canillo, reaffirming our commitment to elite sport and hospitality of the highest quality.
The setting for a dream: Soldeu and the world's elite
The 2026 Andorra Ski World Cup is not just a competition; it is the consolidation of the Principality as an international destination of reference. The arrival of the 2026 Audi FIS Ski World Cup Andorra will have a huge media and sporting impact on the country, once again placing Grandvalira on a par with skiing meccas such as Cortina d'Ampezzo and St. Moritz.
The action on the Àliga slope will officially kick off on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 February with the Downhill training sessions. These days will serve as a prelude to the big race on Friday 27th. The weekend will be all about speed: in addition to the Super-G scheduled for Sunday 1st March, on Saturday 28th February we will be bringing back the technical event previously suspended in Austria, giving fans a double dose of Super-G in Andorra.
An iconic design on the snow
From the air, the Àliga slope reveals a fascinating visual secret: the junction of its two separate runs (Àliga SG and Àliga DH) forms a perfect ‘X’, replicating the Grandvalira emblem on the white blanket of El Tarter. This venue, which has been approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS), is already a veteran in organising Alpine Ski World Cup events.
Excitement is at fever pitch after the first reconnaissance runs. Among the figures who have already tested the demanding course is Italy's Sofia Goggia, a true legend on the circuit whose presence always guarantees a spectacular show. She will not be alone; the Italian team is coming on strong with Elena Curtoni and sisters Nadia and Nicol Delago. In addition, the versatile Czech Ester Ledecká and the powerful delegations from Switzerland, France and the United States are already shaping their strategy on our slopes.
At this event, the hearts of fans will beat especially strongly for Jordina Caminal. The Andorran skier, who will be competing at home in front of her home crowd, is already undergoing specific training sessions in Àliga. Her preparation on one of the most technical and selective downhill runs in the whole of Europe will be key to her performance at this World Cup event.
Beyond the snow: An event for everyone
The Audi FIS Ski World Cup Andorra 2026 experience transcends sport. Throughout the weekend, a festive atmosphere will fill El Tarter areas:
- World Cup Village: Located at the foot of the slopes, this will be the meeting point for family activities, sponsor stands and local cuisine.
- Public Bib Draw: One of the most exciting moments, where fans can see their idols up close before the race. It will take place on Saturday 28th February at 6pm.
- Expo Area: The leading brands in the sector will showcase the latest innovations in ski equipment.
- Après-ski: At the end of the races, the music and celebrations will continue at Abarset, providing the perfect end to a day of high-level competition.
Commitment and Pride: A Sense of Country
For the Daguisa Hotels team, and the Hotel Font Argent Canillo in particular, being official partners of this edition of the 2026 Andorra Ski World Cup is a matter of national pride. Hosting an event of this magnitude demonstrates Andorra's ability to organise major world events with professionalism and warmth.
We are ready to offer skiers, technical teams and fans an unforgettable stay, where relaxation and excellent service will match the feats we will see on the Áliga slopes.
We look forward to seeing you in Andorra to experience the excitement of the best skiing in the world together!
